Show Oiali County Fair Slated ! H.-pi.-inlx-r and 27 Are titles; j IinprovciiK-nrs Planned; Contests j F.,r Fair Slated. The I'l.ih county fair will he held Seij'embi r 25, 2'; anil 27, according to a decision readied at a recent meeting of the county fair board. Plans for a bigger a.'id better fair were 'discussed. Tt. was decided that many improvements to the fair grounds will be made preparatory to the 1!)29 fair, among which will be the construction of another unit to the livestock barn. Many trees have been planted and improvements to buildings have been made. Art Bliidenls of Utah county, high kcIiooIh or any ami tnur artists of the county, are Invited to enter a contest being conducted by the fair board for a cover design for the 1929 county fair premium list, according to announcement an-nouncement of C. L. Warnick, manager. man-ager. The first prize offered for the best design Is $5; second, $3, and third $2. Fourth and fifth prizes will consist con-sist of a season pass to the fair. It Is the desire of the fair management manage-ment to reproduce on the cover of the premium list a suitable sketch of Utah county's resources, industries, or something that will carry the fair idea over through this medium. All sketches must be in the hands of Secretary E. S. Hinckley, at Provo Chamber of Commerce offices, on or before July 20. |
