Chairman Bezzant of the Streets committee reported that -the road was graveled from the Ball park to above tie depot. Buttons installed at the lead of. Main street as ordered. Mr. Bezzant also reported that the Battle Creek road had been damaged by water, and recommended that repairs be made and expense of same be charged to the Irrigation Co. Chairman Moore of City Property reported that portable toilets were ttmoved to the City Hall lot. The matter of painting the fire truck was left with the chairman of City Property, Prop-erty, with power to act. Councilman Moore made a motion rtieh carried that no person be permitted per-mitted to remove gravel from the pit (or commercial purposes," and " that all persons who desire gravel for their own use, must first obtain permission per-mission from the road supervisor. A motion was made by Councilman Bezzant which carried, that the recorder re-corder he instructed to write a letter to the Board of County Commissioners Commission-ers and county road supervisor, expressing ex-pressing the appreciation of the council for their assistance in the construction of the city's roads. It was reported that a number of our Street corners had been without lights for some time, due to this fact, Councilman Bezzant made a motion which carried that the recorder be ordered to deduct from this month's 'reet light bill the price of two lights for the full month. Relative to the collection of dog taxes, a motion was made by Councilman Council-man Moore which carried that the reader re-ader be instructed to procure tags "to issue notices at once, and that the tax become delinquent 30 days frm date of issuance of the notice, toe rates to remain the same as last year f3.00 for females and $1.50 for males.
