Show IPflIlIce IHlepjrit These dogs are barking up the wrong trees In Park City the dog days of summer can be the nicest time of the year unless you have barking dogs next door. This past week the Park City Police Department answered noise complaints and took claims of lost wallets and thefts from automobiles. One DUI arrest was made. On July 13 Jerry Albert called the Park City Police Department to complain about barking dogs. According to Abert's report, two Irish Setters in his neighborhood on Lucky John Drive bark 24 hours a day. The Summit County dog catch, Barry Shoda, has been notified. A 22-year-old Iowa City, Iowa man was arrested for DUI on July 15 after Park City police offers witnessed him swerving down Park Avenue. He failed sobriety tests and was booked into the Summit County Jail in Coalville. Ed Hales told police on July 14 that someone had stolen the license plate from his vehicle while it was parked at his residence on Meadows Drive. The plate is described as Utah TDJ 428. Eric M. Jaacks was arrested July 13 after failing to stop at a stop sign. According to the police blotter, Jaacks was arrested when he refused to sign a "promise to appear" in Fifth Circuit Court. He was booked into the County Jail. Bail was set at $28. On July 17, James Paulis reported to the Park City Police Department that sometime during the previous night someone had broken into his auto while it was parked in the Treasure Mountain Inn lot on Park Avenue. listed as stolen are one radar detector valued at $300 and one golf club valued at $50. In addition, $100 damage was done to the car. Also on July 17, Stephanie Martin reported that her car also was the target of a thief in the TMI parking area. According to the report, a portable cassette stereo was taken from Martin's car. The stereo is valued at $150. Mike Basquez reported a theft from his motor scooter on July 17. According to the blotter, the Vespa scooter was parked at the Iron Horse Condominiums when the theft occurred. The luggage rack, box and back seat are listed as missing. The thief also took the scooter's cover. The goods are valued at $250. Randall Thompson reported on July 17 thai someone had broken into Miner's Delight on Main Street. Listed as missing are one Sony black-and-white 10-inch television and an assortment of candy. . A theft from a helicopter was reported by Jim Crawford on July 17. According to that report, sometime during the previous night the helicopter was entered while parked at Deer Valley lot 4 and spare parts, helmets and gloves were stolen. The missing goods are valued at $810. On July 15, Arlyn Jones reported to the police department that she had lost her wallet while in the Guardsman Pass vicinity. It is described as burgundy nylon with a South Dakota driver's license. Connie Barriatua of Boise, Idaho reported the loss of her checkbook on July 15. She said the last time she saw the checkbook she was in the Cowboy Bar. It is described as brown leather. And Lisa Schaefer reported her wallet was stolen July 15 at the Cowboy Bar. The wallet contained $200 in cash, $100 in checks and various credit cards along with her driver's license. |
