Show Ten hours a day, six days a week is rule for Burger King manager Kay Gadd upstairs down to the back parking lot. She said an alarm has since been put on the door. Gadd is also anticipating a hiring problem this winter, based on what happened last winter. She said to be competitive with other area establishments estab-lishments she is starting the winter hiring process now. Gadd was asked how Park City people are different from those in the valley. "Everyone up here is a lot more friendly," she said. Just don' I ask her 'Where's the beef?' Kay Gadd by Randy Hanskat For the manager of Park City's Burger King, the recipe for success isn't how long to cook the burgers, or how much salt to put on the fries, or when to hold the pickle or the lettuce. The success formula is time, lots of it. For Kay Gadd, recently hired as the manager of the Park Avenue restaurant, that means about 10 hours a day, six days a week. Gadd said she gets to work most days at 6:30 a.m. and leaves around 6 p.m. Currently, she said the primary emphasis is on increasing the speed of service, and on improving the look of the restaurant, both inside and out. Gadd came to Park City from a Burger King in Sandy where she was manager for two years. She lives in West Jordan. Among the problems at the Park City Burger King, Gadd said vandalism in the upstairs dining room has been irritating. Hanging plants have been stolen by people using a door which runs from the |
