Show World Cup tour could visit Park City next March U.S. Ski Team spokesman John Dakin said Wednesday that Park City and Snowbird are being considered for a series of World Cup ski races the weekend of . March 16-17. 1985. Dakin said a proposal has been made to the World Cup governing body, the International Federation Federa-tion of Skiing (F.I.S.), to add slalom and giant slalom races at Park City andor Snowbird to the World Cup schedule set for next season. "There are 11 days between the World Cup races at Aspen and at Heavenly Valley where these slalom and giant slalom kids won't be racing," Dakin said. "That's a lot ot time tor the European contestants to just hang around. We have approached the F.I S to add this weekend to the circuit and we have asked both the Paii, City Ski Area and Snowbird to help host events "Right now it is all in the tentative stages, but I think it would be great for the town if we can have the races here. It would be terrific to have them skiing in our own backyard." However.
