Show meeting was hold, lasting until 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Last evening twa general assemblies assem-blies of members or tne priesthood were held at the Tabernacle and the Weber academy at 7 o'clock. Brlgham H. Roberts was the principal speaker al tho Tabernacle, while Apostle Orson Or-son F. Whitney spok at the academy. From the success of the convention in point of attendance and interest shown in the work, it is expected that the church authorities will decide to recognize the throe stake prieHthood conventions as permanent parts of the church work. PRIESTHOOD MEETINGS SUNDAY The first general priesthood convention conven-tion ever held In the Mormon church af-sembled at the Webor ncademy yesterday morning at 10 o'ciork, with lully 1200 members of the high priests, seventies, elders, priests and deacons of the Weber, Ogden, and North Weber stakes in attendance. The quorum members were seated ac cording to tho degree of priesthood which they represent. The morning session was called to order by Apostle David O. McKay, who presided. Until 11:30 o'clock general exercises were held. At that hour tho six quorum departments separated sep-arated into Individuar meeting, where department work in charge ot a member mem-ber of the general priesthood committee com-mittee wa conducted. At the luornjng session the principal princi-pal speakers were Apostles Whitney imd Richards and Elder Brlgham H. Roberts. Among the papers which were read were 'The Priesthood Movement,' by John V. Bluth; "The Priesthood us Teacllors," by Charles C. Rl:hards. Apostles McKay and Richards spoke on the possibilities of the priesthood work In the church.
