Show FOREST FIRES ! . IN WISCONSIN Eau Claire, Wis., July 11. A survey sur-vey of districts Jn northern Wiseonsiu which have suffered through- forest fires brings the estimate of the total damage of the last three weeks to more than three' million dollars, dl- j vided as follows: . ! Pineries, north of Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls, $1,000,000. . ' Wisconsin Central, $200.000j companies com-panies operating from Marlnetto, in northern Wisconsin. Wausau and Rhinclander, $1,500,000; Washburn and territory .north of Ashland and I Toward Sup'erlor, $500,000. So far as definitely known, there was no less of life. The fires have swept through much taudlng timber, seatterod pine and hardwood. - : ' ' The area burned extends, about fifty fif-ty miles north of Prentice and Is about forty miles wide between Stanley Stan-ley and Thorpe. The heaviest losers are lumber and logging companies.
