Show 1 ADMITS HE ( KILLED III t f SALT LAKE, Dec. 5. Coolly admitting ad-mitting that he killed Vincont Corado, fan Italian of Tellurldo, Colo., in order Lto steal his automobile, Merle Ed-Imisten, Ed-Imisten, 18 years of age, yesterday described the manner in which he shot tthe Italian and made his way to St. .George, Utah, en route to California. .' A short distance north of Tellurido f vrhere Edralsten had hired Corado to drive him, Edmlstcn's hat was blown outof the car, and after tho machine Ihad stopped and the hat recovered, the youthful slayer declared that he Lwalked softly up behind the Italian land shot him through tho back of the bead. Ho declared he fired but one IBhoL After his victim was killed, JEdmlsten put the body back of the 4 ! ... machine and drove north for a distance dis-tance of nearly forty-five miles bo-fore bo-fore hiding it under the bridge, where he declared it lies. During the drive he said ho stopped once for gasoline, which be purchased with money stolen from Corado's person. After caching the body tho youth declared hp made his way to Grand Junction, wHerc he sent ?80 to his mother at Montrose, Colo., and started on his trip to tho Pacific coats. He was traced by F. J. Hartman of Montrose and Sheriff Ed Hoffman of Telluride to several Utah towns, and finally apprehended by the sheriff at St. George, who turned him over to the Colorado authorities. |
