"We are not Interested in petty reforms. re-forms. We are for revolution, not reform. re-form. We warn our members not to be misled by parties which promise little Concessions 4o the working class. Their platforms are only to catch votes with. "We call attention to the fact that over a year has passed since a Democratic Dem-ocratic city administration granted 50-year 50-year electric light and gas franchises. For that act it was turned out of office. Yet so far a Republican city administration has taken no steps to invalidate those franchises, nor will it Municipal ownership can only prosper In the hands of Its friends. "We believe that a well defined line should separate church and state. "We note that the two old political parties are contending for the support of the women voters, both being eleventh-hour converts to the cause of equal suffrage. We claim that vote as rightfully ours as no Socialist ever voted against equal rights. "We believe that the liquor question should be submitted to a vote of the people. We favor state ownership and control of the traffic, and Its management, man-agement, without profit, but in accord-ane accord-ane with the will of the majority." |
