Show oo FIFTY PERSONS TAKEN OFF ROHILLA WRECK Whit . by, Nov 1. via London, 8:50 p. rn. A motor lifeboat, which had been summoned from Tynemouth today, rescued the fifty persons still remain ing on board the wreck of the hos-pilal hos-pilal ship Rohilla( which went on the rocks a few days ago. The sea was still heavy but when the lifeboat got alongside the wreck, oil was poured on the water and subdued sub-dued the waves sufficiently to enable en-able the transfer of the exhausted men Ten minutes were required in the work of rescue. In all seventy persons were lost in the wreck. Thoso saved total 146. |
