Show TO THE PUBLIC We, the undersigned, legislative candidates on the Democratic and Progressive Pro-gressive tickets, each for himself, deny and denounce most emphatically ihe charge in Sunday morning's Examiner Ex-aminer that an agreement, tacit, Implied, Im-plied, express or any kind whatsoever was entered into between us and the Retail Merchants' Association, referred to as a Grocers' Trust, or anyone, whereby, If elected, we were to do the bidding or in any manner favor them In legislation, or in any way whatsoever, and If such statements ' were made or published they were! vholly and entirely falsec or made without our authority and without our knowledge or consent. We denounce a Grocers' Trust, or any other tru3t, combine or monopoly, and are absolutely under no obligations obliga-tions to said Retail Merchants' Association, Asso-ciation, or any person, firm or corpor ation, and if elected, we shall be custodians cus-todians of our own consciences, and shall discharge our duties for the best interests of all of the people without fear or favor. iSigncd) JOSEPH CHEZ, MARY G.
