Eric Bayles, left won State Farmer Degree and I David Judd was the recipient of a Union Pacific Scholarship at I recent State FFA Convention held in Salt Lake City. I Two FFA members garner awards The Parowan High School FFA Chapter was well represented in Salt Lake City last week-end as the boys attended meetings, a banquet, an awards session and the queen contest. Eric Bayles was one of 78 boys in the state of Utah to receive the State Farmer Degree. Eric has had an outstanding ag project, is this year's president of the club and in many ways has supported the chapter very well. David Judd was one of 1 1 in the state to receive the Union Pacific Scholarship. The school is happy that David received this award as a result of his work, there were 28 applicants throughout the state. According to Thales C. Brown the chapter is an outstanding chapter, with many fine projects and activities carried on by the boys. On Tuesday April 9, the ninth and tenth grade boys will travel to Salina to compete in a Soils Judging Contest. The older boys are not to compete in this particular par-ticular event.. |
