Show Ram thinclads will open j season at Hurricane meet j Coach Tobler is very enthusiastic en-thusiastic about this year's track team. He feels that they are going to have a good season. This spring they have shown great potential. On Thursday, March 14, they traveled to Hurricane to meet Hurricane and Lincoln County in a three-way track meet. The PHS placed in every event they entered. en-tered. The results at the track meet were: Phil Hermansen-2nd in the 440 yard run and the 'javelin throw. He also came in 3rd in the low hurdles. John Robinson placed 3rd in the 880 yard run. David Warner placed 2nd in the two-mile run. Gary Adams won 3rd place in the mile run. Brad Robinson w'on 4th place in the 880 yard nm.Bill Tincher placed 2nd throwing the shot put. The varsity team consists of: Gary Adams, Phil Hermansen, Terry Hermansen, John Robinson, Brad Robinson, Danny Packwood, Danny Calloway, David Warner, Warren Woodbury, Wood-bury, and Bill Tincher. The JV team members are Mike Robinson, Kim Bess, Richard Burton, and Blair Bentley. Coach Tobler is planning to hold a track meet here with Panguitch and Enterprise within the next two weeks. This year the PHS has purchased pur-chased new hurdles and a high jump for the track team. We hope that they will put this equipment i to good use and let everyone 1 know the PHS tracksters are I lough competition. I |
