They carried white velvet muffs decorated with sprays of pink and burgandy carnations. The mother of the bride wore a short pink dress w ith a corsage of pink roses and carnations. The bridegroom's mother wore a blue dress with a corsage of roses and carnations in pink. ' The best man was Bill Powell and Shayne and Darren Jones were ring bearers. Donna Griffith, a cousin of the bride, decorated the beautiful cake in light and dark pink roses. The brid's going away costume was a pretty lime green pants suit with a yellow turtle neck sweater. The bride is a graduate of Parowan High School and Cosmetology College of Southern Utah. She is now employed at the Beauty Shop at the Parowan t Merc. The groom is a graduate of Milford High School and Soutern 1 Utah State College. A shower was given for the I bride by Miss Debra Benson and i Miss Cindy Day at the home of Ned Day prior to the wedding. Miss Jan Orton of Parowan became the bride of Mr. Byron Cecil Muir of Milford on February 23 in the First-second Ward Chapel in Parowan. The double ring ceremony was officiated of-ficiated by Bishop Stephen Adams and the beautiful rings were made by the bridegroom. A reception, honoring the young couple, was held the night of the ceremony in the First-second First-second Ward Church from eight to ten p.m. Parents of the bride and groom, Mr. and Mrs. Scott L. Orton and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil H. Muir, greeted guests at the reception. f The bride's beautiful white satin dress was designed and made by her mother. It had a square yolk of chiffon, edged w ith beading which also trimmed the high waist and wide cuffs on the full, long sleeves. It was ap-pliqued ap-pliqued with flowers with beaded centers. The lace veil was held by a wide velvet bow and formed a train in back. Her lovely bouquet was made of pink orchids and burgandy and pink carnations. Miss Debra Benson was the Maid of Honor. She wore a short dress of burgandy colored polyester and the bridesmaids were the brides' sisters, Wendy |
