Show Wiebe, Hosmer recite nuptial vows Gladys Isom. Songs were sung by Evdyn Peterson and her family. The bride's gown was full-length full-length lace extending into a tiered-lace train lined with satin. The natural waist-line was set off with a square neck-line moving into long-puffed sleeves ending in wide cuffs. The shoulder-length veil was held by a high crown of tiny embroidered flowers. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses, white daisies and babybreath. Attending the bride were Misses Arlene Ashdown, Corrine Paddock, and Tami, Karen, and Mary Anne Wiebe, sisters of the bride. The attendants were Miss Cynthia Anne Wiebe and Michael F. Hosmer were united in marriage February 15 in the 9th Ward Chapel. Bishop Francis Betenson officiated at the double ring ceremony which was preceded by a song by Evelyn Peterson and a prayer by Dennis Peterson, cousins of the bride. Music for the wedding was played by Mrs. York Jones. The parents of the young Cedar City couple are Mr. and Mrs. Marvin E. Wiebe and Mr. William Hosmer. The couple greeted guests at a reception in their honor that same evening in the 9th Ward. The bride's great aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dotson acted as host and hostess for the evening while the bridegroom's sister, Mrs. Katie Baldwin presided at the guest book. Ellen Dalby and Connie McKinney accepted gifts at the gift table and refreshments were served by the bride's 4-H Ciub. The serving girls were dressed in green and white checked pinafores. Aunts of the bride helped at the cake and punch table and special musical numbers were performed by Debbie Ashdown and Mrs.. dressed in an array of spring color. The blue, green, yellow and pink cotton dresses were liigh-waisted with a round neckline and short puffed sleeves trimmed with lace. They held bouquets of yellow and white daisies and babybreath. Best man was Frank Lester while the ushering was done by Carl Stuhff, Billy Baldwin, a brother-in-law, Mike Nielson, and Kent Wiebe, brother of the bride. The mother of the bride wore a floor-length gown of sky-blue whipped creme crepe trimmed with a braid of blue sequins. Also in the receiving line was the bride's grandmother dressed in a floor length gown of peach colored crepe with chiffon sleeves breaking into a cuff of crepe. Both ladies wore orchid corsages. Coming from out of town for the wedding and reception were Miss Edith Wiebe, Monterey Park, Cal.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert - t ' A J' Lee, Mrs. Carmen Wise; and Mr. and Mrs. Kay Lee and son of Henderson, Nevada; and Mrs. Darwin Kay and sons of JVlona. Special guests at the wedding were the bride's great aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lunt of Cedar City. Prenuptial events included a personal shower at the home of Mrs. H. P. Dotson, a great aunt; and a tupperware shower, hosted by Corrine Paddock and Ellen Dalby. |
