Show CJH School Activities By Loree Brown Exciting things have been happening at CJH, such as on Tuesday March 9th an assembly was held to get students interested in-terested in space age advancements ad-vancements in plastics, this was sponsored by General Motors. Also March 9th the Ski Club took a trip to Brianhead. Then Wednesday March 10 the horsemens club traveled to Sunset Ranch. The students who went were: Jolyn Alger, Gordon Brad-shaw, Brad-shaw, Cindy Berry, Marissa Carter, Doraine Condie, Kathy Day, Debbie Davis, Julie Esplin, Misty Gibson, Janet Hall, Melanie Featherhoff, JoAnn Ipson, Curtis Lake, Cheryl McDaniels, Gayle Morgan, Pam McCulloch, Donna Messerly, T.. Ranger, Todd Stapley, DeAnrl Smith, and Neil Whitney. Another ride is scheduled fir Friday April 2nd. Thursday, March 11 therp was a fund raising dance for the Spanish Club's trip to Mexico in April. They charged 50c a person and raised $87.00 for the" trip. They are also getting other activities underway. Mr. Cowan has started ping pong in-tramurals. in-tramurals. There 'were 16 seventh graders, ten 8th graders, and 15 ninth graders that signed up. They also have chess m-tramurals; m-tramurals; 18 seventh graders, eight 8th graders and eight ninth graders signed up for this. The golf team is also getting together. There will be 28 on the team, the five lowest scores will travel. They will be able to qualify each Monday before a tournament. Practices will start Monday March 15. March 30 the Science Department is sponsoring the yearly science fair. They are getting their projects ready. The Kachina review will be held Wednesday March 17 at 7 p.m. |
