Show Senior Citizens honor 75-76 Nike Club At the weekly meeting of the Cedar City Senior Citizens on March 9, a special presentation was made to the Nike Club of 1975-76. Mrs. Alva Matheson, representing the Senior Citizens, presented a punch bowl and engraved plaque to Robyn Thorley, vice president of the Nike Club as a token of appreciation ap-preciation for the services the young ladies have performed throughout the year. For the past two and a half years they have served refreshments refresh-ments regularly once a month to celebrate the birthdays of Senior Citizens. They have also prepared and served a delicious dinner annually to the group. Prior to the presentation of the gift, Mrs. Christian Ronnow showed two film on cancer and discussed the importance of annual physical examinations and answered questions relating to cancer. Other programs planned for the Cedar City Senior Citizens are as follows: " March 30 - Dinner and HONORED BY SENIOR CITIZENS. These Nike Club members accept gift from Senior Citizens in recognition of their contributions. They include, in-clude, left to right; Vicki Mullett, Lisa Little, . I Cindy Sawyer, Rachelle Thorley, Renee Christiansen, Robyn Thorley and Zella Matheson representing the Senior Citizens. program. Dinner will cost $1.50 per person. April 6 - Blood Pressure Screening Clinic at 3:00 p.m.; Slide presentation by Elihu Whatcott at 4:00 p.m. April 13 - Emergency Fire Life Saving techniques Orwin Green. April 20 Noodle Making Demonstration USUS Extension Service SNAP Volunteers. All persons living in the area aged 55 years and older are invited in-vited to attend these activities which are held at the North Elementary School. |
