Show Former Parowan resident dies in Kaysville; services held PAROWAN - Funeral services were held Friday, March 12, in Kaysville, Utah, for former Parowan resident Carlyle D. Marsden. Mr. Marsden was born on December 9, 1921 to William and Delia Jane Davenport Marsden, Parowan. He was a World War II veteran, received a B.A. from Brigham Young University and an M.A. from the University of Utah. He was a music teacher at Eisenhower Junior High School and Brigham Young University. An active member of the IDS church, he married Adeliade Lund on September 17, 1944, in the Salt Lake IDS Temple. He is survived by his wife; sons, daughters, Richard Carlyle, William Lund, David Alan, all Kaysville; Mrs. Douglas (Mary Louise) Stewart, Orem; Mrs. Kevyn (Marilyn) Sears, Lehi; 10 grandchildren; brothers, sisters, Ralph D., Ogden; "William Kent, Mesquite, Nev.; Mrs. Milton (Irene) Hyatt, Cedar City; Mrs. Hyrum (Florence) Holt, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Harry (Louise) Bloom, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Reed (Mary Jane) Stewart, Big Flats, New York. Burial was in the Kaysville-Layton Kaysville-Layton Memorial Park. |
