Show VVMC Pink Ladies install New officers New officers were installed in-stalled and pins awarded for volunteer hours at a meeting held Wednesday evening by the Pink Ladies, an auxiliary unit of the Valley View Medical Center. Installed as president was Mary Finlay. Named as president elect was LaVerle Ifennessy with Hazel Mowrey as first yice president and Wilma Petty, second vice president. Installed as secretary was Merna Getz with Evelyn Ashworth to serve as treasurer. At the dinner meeting, held at the Town & Country Restaurant, pins were awarded to members of the Pink Ladies based on number of volunteer hours contributed through the organization. Bee Knudsen was the top award getter with a total of 1300 volunteer hours. In addition Mrs. Knudsen was presented with a special award for her efforts not only in number of hours, but for her many years of dedicated service to Valley View Medical Center and the Pink Ladies. Vieing for second place honors were Ruby Smith and Elma Covill, each with a pin for 1100 hours of service. Other recipients and the number of contributed hours were: Evelyn Carter, 700; Sharon Szepi, 500; Connie Baldwin, Merna Getz, lone Manning and Hazel Mowrey, each with 300 hours; Marie Endsley, Mary Finlay and Gerry Gooding, 200 and LaVerle Hennessy, Wilma Petty and Dixie Stout, each with 100 hours. |
