Show School Board sets bond sale Date for the sale of $3.4 million dollars in bonds for the Iron County School District was set for July 12 at 2 D. m.. at a special meeting of the Board held Tuesday evening. l he bonding was authorized recently at an election in which approval of the proposed sale was authorized by a nearly 6-1 margin. In other action at the official meeting the board also authorized architect L. Robert Gardner to make changes in planning for a proposed addition to the East Elementary School, one of the major projects planned as the result of the bond authorization. Changes were initiated by representatives represen-tatives of the school who had approached ap-proached officials of the district relative to needs of the schools and its future expansion. Of prime consideration con-sideration was the proposed increase in "media center" facilities and multipurpose multi-purpose needs that would be reauired by the anticipated increase in student population. |
