One of the features of the session was the graduates successfully complete a police efficiency driving course consisting con-sisting of practical driving experience, ex-perience, pursuit driving, and the stopping and approaching of vehicles. In recent commencement exercises of the Utah Law Enforcement En-forcement Academy, Jim Broadwell, member of the Parowan Police Department, graduated along with 25 others. The Utah State Law Enforcement En-forcement Academy was created in 1967 by enactment of the State of Utah Legislature. The main objective of the Legislation for (he Utah Law Enforcement Academy is to better promote and ensure the safety and welfare of the citizens of this state in their respective communities com-munities and to provide for more efficiency and professional law enforcement by establishing minimum standards and training for peace officers throughout the StdtG This is the 59th class to graduate from the police academy. Over 1700 police officers of-ficers have graduated as certified cer-tified peace officers from the academy, 23 of which were lady police officers.
