Show Redmen face top-ranked Bingham High tonight Cedar High School Redmen will be severely tested this week as they take on the topped ranked 3A team in the state, Bingham, this evening, Thursday, Wednesday evening the Redmen were on their home court against 2A Hurricane. It's somewhat a duplicate of last week with Coach Dick Hobb and his Redmen battling 2A and 3A competition on alternate nights. The big battle is this evening, Thursday, as the Bingham team has been rated as the tops in the 3A class this season. The "Running Reds" will have to be at their best for this contest and Coach Hobbs is expected to pull out all stops in this one. Going into action this week the Redmen had a record of six wins and two losses, including wins over Jordan and Judge in the M ranks. Next week the Redmen will be further tested as they participated par-ticipated in the Color Country Classic scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday evenings. The tournament will pit four college teams hosted by Southern Utah State College and four High School Clubs-all 3A division contenders. In the opening round of play on Wednesday the Redmen will take on Judge Memorial with Dixie slated to meet Springville. On Thursday evening Cedar and Dixie will switch opponents with the Redmen tangling with Springville and Dixie and Judge pitted against each other. In Wednesday's opening round action Cedar and Judge Memorial will clash at 4:30 p.m. with Dixie and Springville scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. In the College section of the tournament Point Loma will meet Westminster at 2:30 p.m. and host SUSC will meet L.A. Baptist at 8:45 p.m. In the college section loser will meet losers and winner will meet winners in Thursday's final round of action. |
