Show ACT registration set I for Jan. 10 The registration deadline for the next American College Test Assessment (ACT) will be January 10 at Southern Utah State College. The actual test will be administered February 5. Students planning to take the ACT may obtain registration forms from their high school counselor or by contacting the Student Resources Center at SUSC, Administration Building, room 101. The ACT, according to Jim Piacitelli, SUSC Director of Counseling, is required by all Utah colleges, with the exception of the technical schools, for admission. The three hour and 15 minute assessment measures a student's achievement levels in math, natural science, English and social science in terms of local and national percentiles. An interest inventory is also included with the test which provides valuable information to aid in advising and counseling the student, student. This interest in-terest inventory takes about an houir and is completed when the student registers to take the ACT, Piacitelli said. Information concerning ACT or registration procedures may be obtained by calling SUSC Student Resources at 586-4411, extension 336. |
