Show SCD selects new member, Chairman Gurr resigns ' u Mi ) Elmer Gurr, after serving as Chairman of the Enterprise and Iron Soil Conservation District since 1946, has announced his retirement from that board. Replacing Gurr will be Alan Adams, Parowan. Gurr, also a Parowan native and lifetime farmer, suggested Adams to be his replacement and he was approved by the entire board. Gurr said some of the accomplishments ac-complishments he remembers the most was the installation of the Green's Lake flood control area and the advancement of sprinkling systems in the Iron County area. Adams is co-owner of a ranch once owned by his father. Adams, Richard Baird, soil conservationist for the Soil Conservation Service said, is one of the youngest SCD members in the state.
