Show High School Redmen Take First In "Y" Meet Relays The Cedar High School Red-men Red-men came In for only two places in the individual events in the Class B section of the giant Brigham Young Invitational track meet Saturday at Provo, but vaulted Into the limelight in the relays, capturing two first! places in the three events. As a result Cedar ended up as one of a handful of schools to cop as many as two first places in the meet. j The mile relay team composed of Jim Thorley, Johnny Bentiey, Dayne Gardner and Bob Clark covered the distance in the time of 3:38.7 to beat out a strong contender from Fruita. Colo., high school. In the 880 yard relay, four 220 yard dashes, the Redmen again came in strong, winning over Pleasant Grove. The team was composed of Gary Bauer. Merrill Harrison, Ronald Prince and Gary Anderson as anchor man. They skirted the distance in the time of 1:35 .3. just :01.1 seconds ahead of second place. In the individual events Kenny Ken-ny McKnight placed third in the javelin throw and Spencer Bry-ant Bry-ant captured a fourth In the pole vault.
