Show Southern Utah Federated Clubs to Hold Meet I Plans are complete for the annual spring convention of the Southern District Utah Federation Federa-tion of Women's Club to be held in Parowan Saturday, according to Mrs. E. Ray Lyman, general chairman. Mrs. Lyman is president presi-dent of the Parowan Literary Club which will act as host club for the convention. Registration will commence at 10 a. m. In the foyer of the Paro-wan Paro-wan First-Second Ward chapel where both morning and afternoon after-noon sessions will be held. A noon luncheon will also be served serv-ed In the banquet room of the same building. Mrs. Kenneth Lynn. Pangultch, district president, will preside at the meetings. A special Invitation is extended extend-ed to ladies in the district whether whe-ther they belong to a federated club or not. to attend any or all sessions. Their reservations for the noon luncheon may be made in advance with Mrs. Charles F. Bent ley, Parowan. Mrs. Walter C. Ewlng, Ogden. State Club president, is expected to attend the all-day confab, as is Mrs. Harold Christensen, of Springville, past state president and National Federated Club committee chairman. Other state officers scheduled to attend are Mrs. Clair Hulet, Parowan, third vice president UFWC; Mrs. Arch Benson, Parowan. adult education educa-tion department fhairman; Mrs. Don B. Riggs, Kanab, state chair, man of the club's saving bond program; Mrs. M. V. Hatch, Pan-guitch; Pan-guitch; Mrs. Jess Guymon. Par-owan. Par-owan. and Mrs. Graydon Robinson, Robin-son, Kanab, other state commit, tee members. An address of welcome will be. extended at the opening of the convention by Parowan's Mayor jW. Scott Mitchell, with a re-I re-I sponse to be made by Mrs. Lynn. 'Another special feature of the morning session will be a forum on "Why Federate." to be moderated mod-erated by Mrs. Benson. Both sides of the question will bedis-cussed bedis-cussed with members of Feder-ated Feder-ated and non-federated clubs to sit on the panel. Assisting on the various com-mittees com-mittees are Mrs. Hulet. Mrs. Guymon, Guy-mon, Mrs. Max Hendrickson and Mrs. John H. Pendleton, program; Mrs. I. G.
