Show Popular Couple Honored by Friends Mr. and Mrs. Pat Rogers left Cedar City today for an Indefin-, ite stay in Santa Ft-, N. M. Dur-, ing the past two weeks their many friends have honored them at numerous parties. Members of Mrs. Rogers' bridge clubs gathered gath-ered at the Escalante Hotel on Monday for a luncheon and bridge. They presented Mrs. Rogers Ro-gers with a lovely golngaway gift. Coming from Salt Lake City especially for the party to honor hon-or Mrs. Rogers were Mrs. Salome Obcrhansley and Mrs. E. S. O'-Conner. O'-Conner. Taking charge of the ar-rangements ar-rangements was M-s. Kumen Jones assisted ty Mrs. DeMar Bowman and Mrs. George Croft Another luncheon and afternoon after-noon of bridge was riven at the home of Mrs Aldridg" Thorley bv Mr. Thorley and Mrs. Fade Christensen. They oriented Mr Rogers with a hand painted plate. Many dinner parties were giv. en, making It possible for the Rogers to visit and reminisce iwith rrienas before leaving. They gathered with friends for a dinner din-ner at the home of Dr. and Mrs. . F. B. Parkinson. Members of the I George Croft family, who have worked with the Rogers for a , number of years. Joined together togeth-er at a dinner honoring them. Also Al-so an evening ,raj spent at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Bradshaw. Five couples gathered there for dinner and visiting with I Mr. and Mrs. Rogers. Mrs Brad-shaw Brad-shaw employed the colors of Pink, white and silver in her J table decorations. A lovely buffet dinner was .given by Pr. and Mrs. Reed W 'Farnsworth. Eieht couples were present. Decorations were carried out with n Easter theme. Flow-er Flow-er houonets were of Easter lilies and yellow iris. A fish menu was served. Mr. and Mrs. Rogers enjoyed their Easter breakfast at the home of Mr. and Mrs. O. D. Hole. Easter evening the closest friends of the Rogers gathered at the home of Dr. and Mrs. J. S. Prestwich. Coming from Salt Lake City to honor the Rogers at this gathering were Mr. and Mrs. Tom W. Campbell. Mr. and Mrs. Campbell were house guests of Dr. and Mrs. Prestwich. Although unplanned, the occasion served , as a farewell also for Mr. and Mrs. O. D. Hole, who were leaving leav-ing for a visit to San Francisco. A five course dinner was served serv-ed on a table covered by a special spec-ial cloth with handwork done In many colors. The flower bouquet was in many Easter colors accented ac-cented with yellow candles. Outstanding Out-standing were the green Easter baskets made of green Jello set with fruit and filled with eggs made of various kinds of imported im-ported cheeses. The basket handles han-dles were made of green peppers. Mr. Rogers was served his favorite fav-orite dish, homemade ice cream. Leaving early this morning Mr. and Mrs. Rogers stopped at Zlon Park to be the guests of Supt. and Mrs. Paul R. Franke for i breakfast |
