Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING Virginia Webster Kline and Lula Irons and family fa-mily enjoyed a holiday visit to Moroni, Utah recently. They were guests of Mrs. Leona Irons. Also on hand for the Thanksgiving social were Vaughn and Connie Thomas. Participating in a pre-Christ-mas shopping trip to Las Vegas last week were Fay, Lucille and Sharon Jones. The three ladies enjoyed a one night visit in the Nevada area. CHERE AMIES A gala evening was spent last Wednesday as members of the Chere Amies met at the home of Ada Palmer for their regular club event. The affair turned out to be an outstanding one as Hilda Parry presented a report of her recent trip to Portugal and Spain. Mrs. Parry recaptured hi-lites of the trip through slides and mem- j ories of the excursion. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Parry enjoyed their guests of the Norge Company. Com-pany. They flew to their destination destina-tion along with 159 other people from six different states. Birthday festivities were underway un-derway Saturday morning at the home of Karlan Nelson. Invited to help Mrs. Nelson celebrate her birth anniversary were members n h .t..h . . TV-I--1- tlT-V I - .-' - ster, Louise Savage, Lillian Barton, Bar-ton, Marcele Topham and Ann Gower. The Wednesday before, this same group met during the nocturnal hours at the home of Marcele Topham where they participated par-ticipated in pinochle sessions. As a special guest Colleen Nelson Joined the players. Leisure hours were enjoyed by several Cedar City couples who spent the week end In Las Vegas. Traveling to the Nevada City were Mr. and Mrs. Mont Sanders. They spent their time with Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Barnhurst at the Barnhurst home and also participated parti-cipated in Square Dancing along with Mr. and Mrs. Martan Leany, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Wade, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Adams and the Dick Uries. A family gathering at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Parry was enjoyed recently. Coming Com-ing from Blanding, Utah, were Mr. and Mrs. Lamolji Jones, and from Salt Lake City were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Parry and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jones. Also Joining In the Thanksgiving festivities was La-Von La-Von Thomas, who returned from Tuba City, Arizona, to be with the family with whom he had lived prior to this school year. November 30th marked the calendar ca-lendar of events for the ladies who met at the home of Marjorie Bauer to enjoy a combination birthday and pinochle party. The birthday anniversaries were memorable ones for Dot Guyman and Marjorie Bauer. Attending the. affair as a guest was Ruth Webb. Competition In cards won prize for Tanna Corlett and Geraldine Berry. Spending the recent holiday In Cedar City with their parents were Linda and Jack Wood along with young Lance Wood. They visited the Thanksgiving week end with Mr. and Mrs. Norman Heaton and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wood prior to returning to their home in Englewood, Calif. |
