Show L - - i ! I MR. AND MRS. THOMAS A. ROBINSON I Thomas Robinsons Celebrate Golden Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Robinson Rob-inson are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary next week and a reception to honor them Is being planned for Saturday, evening, June 18, at the Paragonah Para-gonah school house, commencing at 8 p. m. All friends and relatives rela-tives are Invited to be present for a program and dancing. They request that there be no gifts. The couple were married June 15, 1910 in the Salt Lake L D S Temple and have made their home in Paragonah all of their married life. Mr. Robinson was born July 4, 1886 in Paragonah to Thomas and Susann Topham Robinson. He received his schooling there an j at the old Murdock Academy at Beaver. He filled a mission tor the LDS Church in the Eastern East-ern States from 1907 to 1909. He has worked at carpentering, farming and livestock raising. He has held many positions in ci-v',t ci-v',t and church organizations. He helped to organize the Paragon-at Paragon-at Livestock Association and at different times has served, as its president, secretary and treasurer. treas-urer. He served as Town president presi-dent for four years and as a member of the board of trustees for eight years. He has been the treasurer for the Paragonah Water Wa-ter System Co. for 30 years. He Is a member of the board of directors di-rectors of the Southern Utah Dairy Company. He has held numerous church positions including in-cluding superintendent of Sunday Sun-day School, counselor in the presidency of the YMMIA and a teacher in Sunday School. Hannah Jane Clove Robinson was born Dec. 29, 1887 at Hatch, Utah, a daughter of Neils Ivor and Mary Anna Barnhurst Clove. She attended school in Hatch, Pangultch, Ordervllle and Beaver. Bea-ver. She taught school for one year In Enterprise. Her activities Include being president of the Ward Primary, and Relief Society Socie-ty and president of the local PTA. She has been a choir member ever since she was 13 years old. At present she is a Sunday School teacher. Relief Society class leader and assisting teach-er teach-er and captain of the local DUP. The couple have six daughters, Mrs. J. Lowell (Leta) Evans, Parowan; Par-owan; Mrs. George (Anna) Gan-ung, Gan-ung, Lansing, Mich.; Mrs. Elwln (Rosemary) Talbot and Mrs. H. N. (Nona) Harris, Salt Lake City and Miss Ada Robinson and Mrs. Joe (Hilma) Lamoreaux, Paragonah. There are 18 living grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren. |
