Federal Approval Council also authorized Brown-ing Brown-ing Piatt to draw up plans for the construction of a T-Hangar at the Airport and advertise for bids. Hangars are to house a minimum min-imum of five airplanes and will not be larger than necessary for storage of eight planes. In addition the City agreed to cooperate with the Federal Aviation Avi-ation Agency and State in the reconstruction of the taxi-strip on the main North South Runway Run-way and also agreed to paint a white line In the middle of this major runway to facilitate night landings. New Taxi-strip which has been let for bids to be opened at the next meeting of the City Council to be held on Thursday, June 16, will run from the East-West runway South to the end of the North-South runway and will replace re-place the strip now In use. Appointment Made The new strip has been approved ap-proved by the FAA and with the approval will be acceptable for federal assistance. Federal government gov-ernment will pay 68 percent of the cost with the state to absorb ab-sorb 16 percent and the city responsible res-ponsible for 16 percent of the construction.
