Rotary posted wins over Milne Truck Line 21 to 5 and bested Kiwanis Kubs Tuesday evening 7 to 2 to remain on top. Against Milne Brad Isom picked pick-ed up the win for the Rangers holding Milne to eight hits. The Rangers pushed in eight runs on two hits in the third grame.to go way out In lead and stay there. The loss was charged to Russell Shirts. Dennis Marchant was the big stick of the evening with two home runs, a double and six runs batter in. Winn Isom hit three for four for Rotary Ro-tary and Kip Jensen collected three hits In four trips to lead Milne. Tuesday evening Rotary put together six of seven hits to score five runs in the third Inning In-ning in downing Klwanis 7 to 2. W. Isom was the winning pitcher pitch-er and Glade McArthur was charged with the loss. Two runs for Kiwanis came off the bat of Howard Mathews who homered following a single by Roberts. In other action Klwanis bested Webster in a 3 to 1 contest, the best of the season, defensively, Wednesday evening. David Hair was the winning pitcher allowing only four hits, Roger Stratton was charged with the loss. Although Al-though Webster had only four hits, three were for extra bases. Ridge Hunt was the top hitter of the day for Kiwanis with a home run and double to his credit. Klwanis posted another win, a 19 to 9 victory over Milne Fi. day evening. Mark Hunter w the winning pitcher, allowing only five hits. Fella Johnson was the loser. Kiwanis, after allwinf eight hits to Milne in the first inning came back with nine of their own in the fourth to take the Jead and went on to win. |
