McRAT CLOWARD McRayClowardGets Advanced Degree At Peabody College j McRay Cloward was the recipient recip-ient last week of doctor of Education Educa-tion degree in the field of col-! lege administration and personnel person-nel work, in graduation exercises held June 3 at George Peabody College at Nashville, Tenn. Dr. Cloward Is a member of the faculty at College of Southern South-ern Utah as an associate professor profes-sor of education and sociology and coordinator of the evening' school. In addition he also is serving as coordinator of housing. hous-ing. A former student at Branch Agricultural College, now College of Southern Utah, he continued his education at Utah State University Uni-versity In Logan where he received re-ceived his bachelor of science and his master's degree. He took a sabbatical leave of absence from CSU in 1955 and 1956 to attend Peabody College graduate school and spent an additional six months on the Tennessee campus in 1958. Doctorate dissertation was "Sabbatical Leaves In Utah In-stltu In-stltu tlons of Higher Learning." Dr. Cloward holds every certificate certi-ficate available In Utah including includ-ing the certificates for elementary elemen-tary teaching, secondary teaching, teach-ing, administrators and professional profes-sional counseling. He is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi, honorary scholastic society; Kappa Delta Pi, h nor-ary nor-ary educational society and Phi Delta Kappa, national educational educa-tional society. He also hoi J membership in the National and Utah Education Associations as well as the Southern Utah Teachers Teach-ers Education Association. |
