State Youth Conference Chosen from County Six Iron CouMy older 4-ir members have been cnosen for 9 trip to the State 4-H Youth Con-1 ference to be held on the Utah State University campus the week of June 13th, reports Ma-1 bel Merrill, Iron County Home Agent. These young people were selected because of their out- standing records In 4-H and because be-cause of their leadership ability. From Paragonah It will be LaMar Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Anderson. LaMar has completed 6 years of 4-H and has taken 8 different projects in that time. From Parowan it will be Mary Kay Evans, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alma Evans. Mary Kay has completed 5 years. Linda Carlson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Carlson and Christie Bauer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bauer, will both represent Cedar City. Linda has completed a total of 14 projects in her 6 years and Christie has completed 13 projects In her 6 years. Christie also plans to en-ter en-ter a special speech contest In Logan. Bill Vandenberghe, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Vandenberghe, Vanden-berghe, will represent Hamilton Fort. 111 has completed 17 pro-Jecta pro-Jecta In 8 years of club Work. John Esplin, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Esplin, will represent Kanarravllle. John has an outstanding out-standing record of 17 projects in 6 years of club work. The records of these young people are outstanding and we congratulate them on this award. The group will be accompanied by the County Agent, Wallace SJoblom. |
