Members of the Melchezidek Priesthood of the ward gave the program In our Sacrament Meeting Meet-ing Sunday. Elders Jay Davenport, Daven-port, Jack Farrow, Oscar J. Hulet Hu-let and Bishop Lyle Farrow were the speakers, with Elder Ray Farrow In charge. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Berry of Salt Lake City made a short visit vis-it with the Farrow families Sunday. Sun-day. They reported that Mr. Berry's Ber-ry's brother-in-law, Boyd Walker, Walk-er, Is slowly recovering from a serious operation performed recently re-cently in the L D S Hospital In Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar J. Hulet and their daughter, Marjorie Evans and son Richard, made a recent trip to Laramie, Wyo., to visit their son-in-law and daughter, daugh-ter, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Mick-elson. Mick-elson. They report a very interesting inter-esting and enjoyable trip. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Farrow and Mrs. Mollie Grlmshaw made a trip to Heber, Ariz., to visit with Eddie and Wallace Brown who stayed with them during the school year. " Mr. and Mrs. Russ Schenck of Provo visited with Mr. and Mrs. Bart Stapley, Mr. and Mrs. John Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stapley on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Cowdell and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Cowdell of California visited with Mrs. Nettie Dalley, Mr. and Mrs. Brt-rand Brt-rand Dalley and fam'ly of Summit Sum-mit and Mr. and Mrs. Golden Bayles in Parowan. Sylvester Jones returned to his home In Enterprise last week. Mr. and Mrs. Dell Smith of Parowan visited at the home of Mr. Smith's brother, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Smith and family Sunday afternoon. Miss LaKay Richards Is spending spend-ing the week in Cedar City with her friend. Miss Orton. Mrs. Frank Clark, the former Afton Madsen, of Sprlngvllle, and her daughter, Mrs. LouDean Frederickson, and small son, and another daughter, Darleen, are visiting at the home of Mrs. Clark's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Madsen for several days. They are also visiting with other oth-er relatives and friends here. Mrs. Winell Harrison of Oakland, Oak-land, Calif. Is here with her father, fath-er, John Dalley, for an Indefinite time. Mrs. Beverly Urie and daugh- ter, Shanna and small son of Richfield are here with Mrs. Urie's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Fife and family. Mrs. Fife is ill. Mrs. Alice Huntington of Beaver Bea-ver has been visiting with her sisters here, Mrs. Nettie and Mrs. Nell Dalley. Also her daughter, Mrs. Ralph Williams of California accompanied her on the trip. The Relief Society ladies held a surprise birthday party Monday Mon-day afternoon for Mrs. Ella Lawrence. Law-rence. Mrs. Lawrence has been their social science teacher for the past several years and she also teaches the adult class in Sunday School. The party, in ad-dition ad-dition to honoring Mrs. Lawrence was also a thank you party for her efforts in her various undertakings. under-takings. Mr. and Mrs. Wright of Cedar City called to vlt.it with Mr. and Mrs. John Jones Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. George Logan of Las Vegas, and their daughter. Judy, and son George, spent Monday with the Jones. Spending the summer at the Jones home have been Michael and Wrlgley, twoi grandsons from California. Mr. and Mrs. William Burns and two daughters have been visiting during the past week with Mr. and Mrs, Herbert White and Al Matheson and other relatives rela-tives and friends. Don White of Mesquite, Nev.. Joined them for a large family dinner. Jennie White enjoyed a two-1 day visit In Pioche, Nev.. with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wllklns and family. |
