Show Information Given Out to Big Game Hunters The department of fish and game today listed the following dates and other information In reminding big game hunters that it is timely now to be thinking of these near-at-hand seasons. Applications for the two early elk hunts set by the Utah Board Eig GiiTie Cunirot ihis year,' Mt. Dutton and Rich County, will be received at department offices July 29 to Aug. 3. Anvone applying for one of the two early elk seasons may not apply on the later applica-tlon applica-tlon dates for the other- hunt whether successful In drawing a permit or not Sportsmen should, .take special note of this when anr.lying.on the Rich County unit where both an early season five-day notice and a later reg-, ular season hunt are scheduled. Applications for the three an-l telope hunts scheduled by the1 board will be accepted on these same dates. Application dates for all other elk hunts will be received at the offices Aug. 12 to 19. Sports-men Sports-men were again reminded that all elk applications must be made by mall only in the special envelopes supplied at license 'ndors over the state and that the elk application fee must be bv certified check, cashier's check or money order. The general deer hunting season sea-son gets under way on Oct. 19. with regular license deer hunts: sot one week earlier on two ma -' lor hunting areas. These are the Mantl Range and the Elk Rldge Blue Mountain units where the regular license , hunt begins Oct. 12. The archery deer season gets under way Aug. 31 and continues through Sept. 15.
