Show High School Students Anxiously Await Senior Hop Students of the Cedar City High School are anxiously awaiting await-ing the annual Senior Hop, to be staged Friday, Dec. 19 at the College of Southern Utah ballroom. ball-room. Theme of the Hop Is "Silver Bells" and decorations are In accordance ac-cordance with the theme. An ambitious am-bitious group of officers are In charge of the event, including Curtis Alklns, president; EuTene DtvIs, vice president; Bonnie I Williams, secretary. Commit-i Commit-i tee chairmen in charge are ! Colleen Cox, rjeneral chairman; I Ada Marie Wood, dance chair-jman; chair-jman; Judy Christiansen, dance .co-chairman; Oaylyn Shemtt, assembly chairman; Phyllis Chatterley, assembly co-chairman. The Senior Class assembly will be held Friday morning. Tickets for the dance have been n sale for two weeks, but can also he purchased at the door. Admission will be $1.25 per couple. She was born In Summit, Aug. 14, 1875, a daughter of John and Mary Barton Allen, southern Utah pioneers. She was well known throughout through-out the area for her musical ability abil-ity and had always contributed her taler.t in community and church affairs. She had always been an active member of the LDS Church and had served for over 50 years In the Relief Society Socie-ty as an officer and a visiting teacher. She had also served as an officer In the Mutual Improvement Im-provement Association and had been a teacher In the Primary and Sunday School. She married Charles R. Dalley Nov. :!7, 1895 In the Manti Temple. Tem-ple. The couple had celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary at a family gathering on Thanksgiving. Thanks-giving. Her husband of Summit services ser-vices here as does a son, C. Le-land, Le-land, Cedar City; three daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. Letha Farnsworth and M" Cla'.idc CMstccIIs) Mitchr!!, both of Ogden; and Mrs. Rulon (Helen) Dalton, Parowan. There are also 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. W. J. Jeukins. Salt Lake City; Mrs. Nettle Dalley, Summit, and Mrs. Alice Huntington, Hunting-ton, Beaver. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p. m. In the Summit Ward chapel under the direction of Bishop Ivan Dalley. Friends may call at the Southern Utah Mortuary In Cedar City Thursday from 6 to 9 p. m. and at the family home In Summit after 10 a. m. Friday. Burial will be In the Tarowan City Cemetery. |
