Show Rams Enter Third Week of Basketball Play The Parowan High School has-Jketball has-Jketball team goes into its third " week end of play with a record of three wins and one loss and, will be trying for more wins this ."week end as they take on two 'strong teams. Thursday, tonight, the Rams play the Cedar Redmen In the CSU fieldsouse. J I Friday night Coach John Wood and his Ram cagers entertain a strong Hurricane team In the local gymnasium In a game to get under way at 8. The main game will be preceded by a con- test between the Junior varsity squads of the two schools. Hur-j ricane has a fine pre-season rec- ord and should provide plenty of competition for the Parowan I team. I I Next week, Friday, Doc. 26, the Rams go to Monroe to play the South Sevier team the second j time this season. The Monroe team beat the Rams 41 to 4 1 1 last Friday In the Iron County' Tournament, and Parowan will be out to avenge that loss if pos- sihle. I Saturday night, Dec. 27, the Cedar Redmen invade the Paro-j wan gym for a second game be- tween the two teams. This will round out the holiday fare of basketball for local sports fans with plenty of action to be pro-l vided in both home games. Following the Parowan-IIurrl-cane game Friday night, the Jim-1 lor class of the Parowan High is sponsoring their annual "Sweat-j or Hop" In the high school gym. |
