Show Planning Commission Announces Course in Community A special course of study open to all citizens of the Cedar City area has been announced by the Cedar City Thinning Commission this week. Prof. Charles B. Cooley, chairman of 'he commission, presented pre-sented the plans to the public. Over a 10-week period beginning begin-ning on Tuesday, Jan. 6. a number num-ber of prominent Individuals from around the state will discuss dis-cuss "A Tlan for Community Improvement." Im-provement." "Purpose of th? course," according to Trof. Cooley, Coo-ley, "Is to bring In top flight pro-fessionals pro-fessionals to participate in an exchange of Ideas and plans for making the Cedar community a better one." He continued that the programs each evening will be based on a panel Idea with members mem-bers of the class participating with the guest speaker. j Topics to be considered Include: In-clude: Why City Tlannlng, The Highway and the City, Business Stability and the Growlne Park-i Park-i ing Problem, Community Recreation, Recrea-tion, Subdivision Development. Wafer Development and Com-i munlty Growth, Promotion of, Industry In the Community, City Reautlfleation. The Schools and the Community, and the final progiam will be a summing up of the course content. Frof. Cooley Indicated that there will be a small fee charged and that everyone Is Invited to sign up for the Interesting scries In the CSU library on Jan. 6.
