Facilities Fa-cilities of the Junior High School Shop are utilized for the series. Furniture Re-finishing Class Active Again Clifton Chattcrley's furniture re furnishing class Is a behive of activity these days. The present Adult Education classes are nowl drawing to a close and the stu- dents are trying hard to finish their projects this week. Mr. Chatterley reports that some of the most interesting articles ar-ticles of furniture have been re-finished re-finished this term. Chairs and, tables dating back more than a, hundred years have been remod- elort, repaired, refinished and made into priceless pieces of furniture. Re-finishing has been a favorite fav-orite class in Adult Education for years. Each time registration is held, a new class is organized. Mr. Chatterley reports that he wonders each year if he will have a class. Soon, he thinks, people would be getting such projects finished but they keep coming. Mr. Chati.f-iley Is very skilled in such work. He recently attended at-tended the University of Orogon and learned many new skills and crafts of his profession. Besides re-finishiug furniture, Mr. Chatterley Chat-terley is able to help his students remodel or repair. He Is always delighted when a very old or interesting in-teresting article appears. The re-finishing class is sponsored spon-sored by the Adult Education Committee of the Cedar City Coordinating Co-ordinating Council and the Iron County School District. Registration Registra-tion for the classes will be held In the near future. Date will be announced later. |
