Show EN AVANTES The book "Why England Slipped", Slip-ped", written by John F. Kennedy, Ken-nedy, was presented by Mrs. Roe Palmer Wednesday evening. The occasion was the social for the ladies of the En Avante Club. Scene for the event was the home of Mrs. Dixie Leavitt. Guests, Mrs. Ann Gardner and Mrs. Francis Betensen, were invited by the hostess to sit in on the lesson les-son which provided a full evening even-ing of Informative entertain-entertainment. entertain-entertainment. Making the most of their few days off to visit with their parents par-ents were Karem and Tommy Tompkins, children of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Tompkins; Christine and Douglas Lundgren, daughter and son of Mr. & Mrs. Roy Lundgren. Lund-gren. and Elizabeth Parkinson, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. F. B. Parkinson. Accompanying Miss Lundgren home was a school mate originally from Delano, California, Miss Ildl Ko Seges-vary. Seges-vary. Mrs. Hal P. Anderson of Liver-more, Liver-more, Calif., rushed to Cedar City early Monday after receiving word of the fire which destroyed a large section of Cedar City's business district Mrs. Anderson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Leigh. She will remain with the Leigh family fam-ily through the week. Mrs. Boyd Beagley was honored honor-ed at a pre-stork shower at the home of Miss Janet Gordon.
