Show Redmen Open Season Friday At Baseball Diamond The Cedar City High School baseball team will open defense of the Region Ten championship Friday afternoon at the Cedar City municipal park against the Kanab Cowboys, it was announced announc-ed tiiis week by Coach Bruce I Dc5f. The Redmen took the runner-up runner-up spot in the State Class B playoffs play-offs last season, losing out to American Fork in the finals, after af-ter taking the region title and winning the semi-final rounds of championship play. A five game schedule has been set up with Kanab, Cedar City, Enterprise, Parowan and Hurricane Hurri-cane participating in the spring sport. Following Friday's opener the Redmen will travel to Enterprise to meet the Wolves on April 13. On April 20 the Redmen will clash with the Dixie Flyers at; Cedar City; April 27, Parowan will be at Cedar for a league encounter en-counter and the league schedule will be completed on May 4 when the Redmen travel to Hurricane to meet the Tigers. Coach Decker has high hopes for his Redmen again this season. sea-son. Handling most of the mound duties will be Kent Smith, a senior, sen-ior, he indicated.
