Show NSF Grant Authorized for C S U Twenty high school teachers in senior and junior high schools of southern Utah will be given an opportunity to study at the College Col-lege of Southern Utah under a grant awarded by the National Science Foundation, it was announced an-nounced this week by Dr. Roy-den Roy-den C. Braithwaite, director. Authorization of a $8,600 grant from the foundation for a special training course jwas received this week, Dr. Braithwaite said. The year-long program will be a joint venture between CSU and the Utah State University Residence Center with Instruction to be conducted on the CSU campus. Instructor for the course will be Conrad Hatch, Co-Chalrman of the Division of Physical Science, according to Dr. McRay Cloward, director of the Inservice Institute. The training will be granted to successful candidates who are already teaching in the general science area. The course will carry nine graduate hours credit and the Foundation will pay all tuition, travel and book allowances allow-ances to scholarship winners. During the regular school year the program will be carried forth on Saturdays and will consist con-sist of lectures, demonstrations and laboratory work.
