Show Superior Ratings Won By Cedar Students Nineteen Cedar City students received superior ratings in string solo and ensemble work in the Region Ten festival. The Solo and Small Ensemble Festival was held in Kanab and ratings have just been announced. tNine high school students and ten from the junior high school received the ratings. The boys and girls have been trained by Roy L. Halversen. The superior ratings were In three divisions. The divisions and the participants partici-pants for the high school included: includ-ed: string ensemble: Mary Palmer, Palm-er, Janice Lamb, Lauren Mac-Donald, Mac-Donald, Linda Jones, Lois Lin-ford, Lin-ford, JoAnn Duncan, Susan Ash-croft, Ash-croft, Dianne Gillies, and Judy Stewart. The group played "Loure" by J. S. Bach. Violin solos were played by Mary Palmer, accompanied by Janice Lamb, who played "Allegro "Alle-gro from Sonata In F" by Handel; Han-del; and Janice Lamb, accompanied accom-panied by Mary Palmer, who played "Meditation from Thais" by Massenet. , A violin duo was played by Mary Palmer and Janice Lamb, accompanied by JoAnn Duncan.
