Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING By Virginia Wtbster . BELVA Z1MNS Friday evening club members of the Belva Zimns invited their partners to Join with them for a "couples" party. Scene for the early Spring social was the Dal ley home in Summit with Mary Dalley club hir tess for tiie event. The couples arrived at 8:00 p. m. to serve themselves a delicious delic-ious buffet supper after which parlor games and visiting kept them entertained. NEIGHBORHOOD CLUB The 1150 neighborhood club met at the home of Mrs. Cline Irons Tuesday, for an entertaining entertain-ing evening of sewing and visiting. visit-ing. A guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Bulloch last week was Mrs. Bulloch's mother from Kanab, Mrs. Owen Davis. Former Cedar City resident Mrs. Lillis Larson of Page, Ariz., spent a portion of last week visiting vis-iting with friends and relatives in this area. 4 A guest at the home of Mike and Joyce Hanson recently was Mike's mother, Mrs. Ferrel Han-uon Han-uon vi Ggrien. During ner tnree day visit to this area she was pleased to take a side trip to Zion National Park with her son and daughter-in-law and granddaughter grand-daughter Sherri. Cedar City residents enjoyed a visit with Mrs. Hilda Thompson Thomp-son of Delta this past week. During her stay Mrs. Thompson was a guest at the Verdell Knight residence. She also visited with her sisters Mrs. Nathon Knight and Mrs. Cecil Adams. Mrs. Dolores Webster entertained entertain-ed guests at pinochle Wednesday. Prizes were awarded Carlynn Nelson. Marcele Topham and Itha Robinson. Arriving from various out-of-town areas to attend the Farewell Fare-well Testimonial for Elder John G. Pace were Mrs. Maxlne Mick-elson Mick-elson and Mrs. Lu Myers and son of Henderson, Nevada; Mr. and Mrs. Ted Kelsey, Las Vegas; Miss Karen Lee Pace, Long Beach, Calif.;. Mrs. Mickelson, Mrs. Myers and Miss Pace were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Nel-son Webster and the Kelseys were greeted by Mrs. Kelsey's parents at the Jack Pace Residence Resid-ence in Midvali.;'. Sandra Strang accompanied her mother, Mrs. Francis Condie, to Salt Lake City Monday where (hey will spend several days. Mrs. Barbara Nelson was hostess hos-tess to her bridge club Wednesday Wednes-day evening. Score prizes were von by Afton Stapley and Francis Fran-cis Holyoak. Mr. and Mrs. Roland Palmer and son Kevin spent the week end In Cedar City visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Gentry Gen-try and .Mr. and Mrs. Leo Palmer. Pal-mer. The couple make their home in Salt Lake City where Roland .s employed as an engineer with the forest service. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Spevak reftirned late Wednesday evening with their sons Layne and Kicn-ard Kicn-ard and daughter Lana after a week end visit in Las Vegas. Arriving Ar-riving from his current residence resid-ence In California was Gene Smith, Miss Spevak's fiance who greeted the Spevaks and spent a portion of the week end wltn them touring the Nevada City. Mrs. Francis Betenson was hostess hos-tess to her duplicate bridge club members and five guests at her home. Special guests were Virginia Vir-ginia Randall, Naomi Piatt, Leslie Les-lie Woolf, Alva Bird and Fern Leigh. Prizes were awarded Ellen Olafson, Betty Randall, Ruth Seegmiller and Elva Yergenscn. |
