Each of them won on the other's home court. CSU picked up the first win and brought the "Axe," symbol of athletic supremacy, to the CSU campus, in a game played at St. George. Its stay was short-lived, how ever, as Saturday evening the Rebels invaded the Bronco corral and picked up a 76 to 64 win to regain the "Axe" and even the sccre at one win each. The win for Dixie left the Rebels Re-bels in a tie for second place in the Intermountain Collegiate Athletic Conference wars and the Broncos, via the loss, moved down the ladder into a tie for fifth in the second division. A standout performance in the second half of play by David Erickson of Dixie proved to be too much for the Broncos as he put on a scoring spree that netted net-ted 23 points in the second half with a total of 28 for the eve- ' ning. Eight of these 23 points were scored in the final minute i and one-half of play as the Reb- els broke away from a 61-tie to win going away by a score that i was no indication of the close-; close-; ness of the game.
