Show ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 623, REVISED ORDINANCES ORDI-NANCES OF CEDAR CITY. UTAH. 1953, AND ESTABLISHING SECTIONS SEC-TIONS 621D AND 630D REVISED ORDINANCES OF CEDAR CITY, UTAH, 1953. Be it Ordained by the City Council of Cedar City, Utah: . Section 1. That the following shall be added to Section 623 Revised Re-vised Ordinances of Cedar City, Utah. 1953, "Special Motel District." Dis-trict." Section 2. That a new section shall be added to the Revised Ordinances Or-dinances of Cedar City, Utah, 1953, and shall be known as Section Sec-tion 621D and shall read as follows: fol-lows: "That the Boundary of the Special Motel District No. 1 is described de-scribed as follows: Commencing at a point on the south side of 400 South Street in Cedar City, Iron County, State of Utah, that Is halfway-bet halfway-bet ween Main Street and 75 East Street, thence east to the west side of 75 East Street, thence south to a point on line with the north side of the. El Patio Motel, thence west to the east boundary of the present C-2 Commercial Zone, thence north along the east boundary of the present C-2 Commercial Zone to the place of beginning. Section 3. That a new scctlr. shall be added to the Revised Ordinances Or-dinances of Cedar City. Utah. 1953, and shall lie know as Section Sec-tion 630D and shall read as fol lows: "Special Motel District No. . 1". A. Use Regulations. In Special Motel District No. 1, only the following uses will be permitted: J. Motel units oi!y. B. Fire Zone Regulations. All buildings constructed or placed in said Special Motel District shall fonform to the requirements re-quirements of Fire Zone No. 1 and the area thereof shall be and is hereby ordained to be part of Fire Zone No. 1. C. Area, yard and height regulations: reg-ulations: 1. Buildings shall not cover more than M'c of t;ie area affected. af-fected. 2. Off street parking shall be provided with one parking stall for each motel unit. 3. All buildings shall be limited limit-ed to one story in height. 4. The provisions designating off street parking areas shall apply to this area, to Include necessary bumpers and fences, nd entrances from the public street. Only two exits shall be allowed on 75 East Street which shall be limited to 30 feet In width, and shall be not closer to the corner of 75 East Street and 400 South Street than 20 feet. Two exits may be constructed onto 400 South Street, which shall rot be closer clos-er to any corner than 20 feet, and shall be limited to 30 feet in width each and shall be separated sep-arated by a minimum of 12 feet. Barriers shall be Installed Install-ed under the direction of the Inspector of Cedar City, Utah, in conformity with Cedar City Ordinances regulating the use of areas for off street parking. 5. All areas not occupied by buildings or landscaped and cared for as shrubbery, plantings plant-ings or lawn, shall be black-topped black-topped and designated as additional addi-tional off street parking areas. Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective thirty days after af-ter passing or twenty days after publication, whichever date Is the most remote. Tassed by the City Council of Cedar City.
