Show I NEWS FROM KANARRAVILLE I By Hannah Davis Everyone Is happy over the nice storm we had, after a dry January. It started with a light rain which turned to snow and fct-ve us four or five inches with quite cold weather. Alice Pollock and daughter Vaughn Isom have returned home after several days' visit in Las Vegas and Henderson. Marvin Christensen and his Mother Rosella Christensen. are visiting in California. Mrs. Christensen Chris-tensen will remain there for a-while a-while with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Kerry, and family in Norwalk. Hazel Davies accompanied her niece. Miss Janice Blake of St. George, to Salt Lake City for a short visit with her sister, who has employment there. The Lahoma Girls of the Primary Pri-mary held a Daddy Date Friday evening at the church. There j were a program and light re- freshments. It was under the direction di-rection of their leaders, Colleen Williams, Carma Williams, Mada Christensen and Aloma Berry. Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Ipson of the Cedar City Seminary were , the speakers in Sacrament meeting. meet-ing. .Mr. and Mrs. Nello Williams of Summit visited here Saturday with Mr. Williams' mother, Mary M. Williams. Word was received here of the death of Mrs. Rebecca Stapley of Delta on Saturday. She is a sis-, sis-, ter of Will, Ervin and Lynn Wil-! Wil-! liams, and a former resident here. Our sympathy goes out to all in their loss. Bill Hawkins spent a day here: With his folks from his Navy Base in Florida. He was accompanied accom-panied by a companion from the base. Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Robinson spent the week end here from , St. George with their daughter. Carma Williams attended a meeting at the Escalante Hotel for all Avon representatives last week. Carma Williams, Hannah Davis Dav-is and Amanda Williams visited in New Harmony Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Junius F. Williams Wil-liams are visiting in Las Vegas with their daughters, the Kelsey Taylor family. |
