Plastic pots demand far less watering than common clay pots. In fact, if you water as often as you must with the porous clay containers you will "drown" your plants. 2. Feeding plant food should be cut The excessive watering required by clay pots tends to wash away about one-half of the fertilizer applied. This washout doesn't take place with plastic pots. 3. They are lighter and easier to move about. Plastic Plas-tic pots remain free from the uly, unsightly discolorations of salts and algae that make it necessary neces-sary to replant in new clay pots if the eyesore is to be removed from a room. In addition, plastic pots make desirable interior accessories for they are available in a wide range of shapes, colors and sizes, and can be found to match or complement most drapery and furniture fabrics. |
