Show HEWS F.OTES OF SUMMIT ACTIVITIES I By Hulda Peterson Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fife of Los Angeles visited with Mr. and Mrs. Rudger Fife last week. Summit people who attended funeral services for Helen Dalton in Parowan Friday were Mr. and Mrs. Herbert White, Mr. and Mrs. Al Matheson, Bertrand Dalley, John Farrow, Mrs. Leona Smith, Mrs. Violet Hulet, Mrs. Helen Richards, Mrs. Ann Madsen, Mrs. Mollie Grimshaw, Mrs. Alice Walker, Mrs. Lucy Green, Mrs. Elva Farrow, Mrs. Georgia Math-son, Math-son, Mr. and Mrs. Otto P. Dalley, Mrs. Ella Lawrence, Mrs. Mary Lawrence, Mrs. Hulda Peterson, Mrs. Donna Davenport and Mrs. Jean Farrow. A group of LDS Indian people presented the program at Sacrament Sacra-ment meeting Sunday. The program pro-gram included talks by three women, a song by two small girls, and a song by a group of Indian ladies. Three men bore their testimonies. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ray visited visit-ed with their sister and niece, Mrs. Hulda Peterson and Mrs. Georgia Matheson. They were returning re-turning home following a trip to Washington, D. C. where they had been to visit a son ' and daughter-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Walker, son Robert, and daughter Rolalne, made a business trip to St. George Saturday. Mrs. Violet Hulet d Itha Dal-ley Dal-ley assisted the Stake Relief Society So-ciety board members in making corsages for the singing mothers last week. Mr. and Mrs. Al Matheson have gone to Cheyenne, Wyo., where Mr. Matheson has employment employ-ment for the summer. Mrs. Jean Farrow and Sylvia Stapley attended a banquet for the Seminary graduating students. stu-dents. Summit students graduating graduat-ing will be Bryce Stapley, La-Rae La-Rae Farrow, Connie Davenport and Francis Farrow. The regular fireside was held in the ward chapel Sunday evening eve-ning with Linda Grimshaw giving giv-ing a piano solo, and a record talk by Charlotte Sheffield was heard, after which refreshments were served by Mary Lawrence. Mrs. Emma Fife returned home Wednesday from Kenil worth, Utah, where she had spent five days with her sister, the formed Edna Gillman, whose husband, June R. Bott, died in a Salt Lake hospital following surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Evans and son Richard made a business trip to Las Vegas last week. |
