Parowan Elementary PTA Elects New Officers At a meeting last week of the Parowan Elementary Parent-Teachers Parent-Teachers Association, new offic-jers offic-jers were elected to serve during the 1959-60 school year. Laura j Walker was elected as president of the association, to succeed Louise Stubbs, who is presently head of the organization. Mama Heap will be the new vice president, Darlene Pendleton Pendle-ton was named as secretary with Norda Barton, Violet Jensen and Cleone Rowley as board members. mem-bers. Retiring officers in addition to Mrs. Stubbs, are Miriam Lister, vice president; Dortha Hulet, secretary, and. Adele Matheson, Dorraine Orton and Maxine Rog-erson, Rog-erson, board members. Mrs. Barton Bar-ton will also serve as publicity manager. The new officers will be installed in-stalled at a special meeting on Thursday, May 7 at 8 p. xn. in the high school auditorium. The Parowan High School PTA will also be co-sponsor of the meeting meet-ing at which time new officers for the high school group will be named and Elementary School Principal Clair Morris will give an informative talk on the proposed pro-posed Iron County School District bonding program. |
